Happy New Year from Direct Digital
To start to 2018 here at Direct Digital, we thought it would be nice to reflect on 2017 as a company and share what an amazing year it has been with everyone. Here are our top 10 moments of 2017:
10 - The management team partaking in Rat Race
Early 2017, the management team of Direct Digital partook in Rat Race Dirty Weekend; their determination and team work demonstrated through the grueling course showed how our staff can achieve great things through supporting each other and working as a team.
9 - Our year round charity work
Throughout the year as a company we have partaken in several charity fundraising events such as the Macmillan coffee morning and for our Christmas appeal our staff all took part in a food collection, collecting food to help vulnerable people enjoy the Christmas period, the food collected was taken to the Local Salvation army and to Tesco to help with their FareShare campaign.
8 - Property Direct continued growth
Our Property Direct product has continued to grow this year and we have acquired partnerships with many local and national estate agents helping them to stand out amongst competition. Some of the chains we have had the pleasure with working with include Martin and Co and Goodchilds.
7 - Brand new website
In 2017, we launched a new modern website which is informative and easily navigated which informs our customers and potential customers alike of our products and services. Our new website gives people the opportunity to explore more about the company through a company blog and show reels of our work and it provides desired information in an easy way.
6 - Launch of Social Media
The Launch of Social Media was a big step for our company; launching on Linked In, Facebook and Twitter means that we can provide our stake holders with valuable regular content and means that it is easier for people to contact us and enquire online, improving the service we provide.
5 - The annual party
Our 2017 annual party was held at Thornton Manor Cheshire on January 21st. As usual it was a great day of team bonding and celebrating our staff and their hard work. It was a black tie event where we all celebrated together as a team and a great time was had by everyone.
4 - Postal Direct acquired a partnership with WHSmiths post offices
During 2017, Postal Direct gained a huge client in WHSmith Post Offices. This means Postal Direct screens are present in over 130 WHSmith branches across the UK. Our world leading digital signange which we install in these locations is helping support WHSmiths post offices’ new era of modernisation.
3 - EMIS accreditation
Our digital signage solutions and bespoke patient call in system have been approved by EMIS, which is a huge achievement and means a lot to us as a company moving forward. In the UK, Medical Direct is one of 3 companies accredited to call patients to their appointments. Being accredited by EMIS means we have been recognised as being secure, trustworthy and innovative providers to the Healthcare sector.
2 - Launch of a new product - Concierge Direct
Part of 2017 being so exciting and fulfilling for us was the launch of our new product Concierge Direct. Concierge Direct is our new innovative product created for the hospitality industry to add value to reception areas of hotels and provide information to guests. Our first Concierge Direct product was installed in October and since then Concierge has grown to be a great success.

Of course, our biggest achievement this year has been the launch of Direct Digital. After 18 years of continued success, we decided to rebrand to a new modern brand with new and improved products, services and processes - and this is just the beginning for us!
